Google integration

Roze and Google

Roze is an iOS personal assistant that helps you search your email, manage your calendar, and find people you know. Connecting Google lets Roze display your information, answer questions, and carry out actions you request.

Access supports the features you use, including features that run on Roze's servers while the app is not open. You choose whether to connect Google and can remove the connection in Roze or revoke access from your Google Account settings.

How your Google information is used

Roze uses your Google profile and email address to identify your connected account. Its Google Drive access covers only files Roze creates: when you ask Roze to attach a document to a calendar event, Roze uploads it to a folder named Roze in your Google Drive and lets the event's guests view it. Roze cannot see or open other files in your Drive. Attachments that other people add to your events open in your external browser, where access is controlled by the service hosting the file.

Roze stores an encrypted, renewable Google authorization on its servers. Roze's servers read your Gmail messages and Calendar events to provide Roze features, such as answering your requests, summarizing and prioritizing email, preparing your day, and sending notifications, including while the app is not open. When new mail arrives, Roze's assistant reviews it on its own to flag what needs your attention. Roze may store conversations and information derived from your Google data on its servers to show them in the app.

Relevant information can pass through Roze's servers to our artificial-intelligence service providers, including Anthropic and TypeSafe, to provide these features. Roze does not use Google user data to train generalized AI models, and Anthropic, which provides the assistant's model, does not use it to train its models.

Roze's assistant can send email and change calendar events for you. It asks before each such action unless you have given it standing permission for that kind of action. When you ask it to complete a task on a website, it uses a cloud browser run by Kernel, and details you ask it to enter can include information from your email or calendar.

You can turn notifications off separately from removing your Google account.

In Roze's Google settings, you can remove a connected Google account. To delete your Roze account, go to Settings, then Account, then Delete account. For questions or a data-deletion request, email support@roze.ai.

Gmail

Roze reads email to display and search messages, answer questions, and summarize conversations. It reviews new mail to flag what needs you and prepare your day, and drafts, sends, and organizes email with your approval.

Google Calendar

Roze reads calendars and events to show your schedule and answer scheduling questions. Calendar access also lets Roze create, update, respond to, and delete events with your approval.

Saved Google Contacts

Roze reads your saved Google contacts to help you find people and identify recipients. This access does not let Roze change your Google contacts.

Other Contacts

Roze also reads Google's Other Contacts: people you have interacted with but may not have saved as contacts. This helps Roze identify people and suggest recipients.

Your information stays under your control

Roze does not sell your Google user data or use it for advertising. For details about collection, use, sharing, retention, and deletion, read our Privacy Policy.
